My focus is on simple and functional design. I feel it is important to create clean and inspirational designs which grab the eye’s attention. The flow of composition through type, line, and shape are at the heart of all my work. On top of every thing else, the concept of a design is key. I feel having an overall theme or concept incorporated within a project helps create an experience for the viewer. Whether it is print or web design, by creating an immersive experience, I am able to grab and hold the viewers’ attention as they interact with the content. My inspiration comes from the world around me, whether it is industrial, graffiti, or other graphic work. I am constantly using aspects of my world in my work.
I am currently finishing up my degree in Interactive Arts and Media at Columbia College Chicago. My aspirations for after college are to work for a design firm and to build on my knowledge of web design.
